What is LGSETA?
LGSETA is one of South Africa’s 21 Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) established under the Skills Development Act.
Its responsibility is to strengthen skills development across municipalities and the broader local government sector through workplace learning, occupational training, learnerships, internships, bursaries, apprenticeships, and employer support programmes.
LGSETA works closely with municipalities, provincial government, educational institutions, accredited training providers, and organised labour to improve service delivery through skills development.
